Infectious Diseases

  1. No student can be permitted to attend school for 10 days if there is, or has been an infectious disease such as Measles, Conjunctivitis and Chickenpox in the house.

  1. Parents must notify the Principal immediately of any such disease and keep their child at home until such time as they are permitted to return.

  1. In all such cases the attending Paediatrition/Doctor will need to certify the student for fitness to resume classes, this is to be ratified by our school Doctor.

  1. Failure to report infectious cases may lead to such students being responsible for spreading the infection. Please do not think of your child only, but also of the other children, who in turn may be infected by such diseases, after all you would not like another child to infect yours. Disciplinary action will be taken against such students who with hold such information.

  1. Cases of children recovering from Chickenpox must be quarantined for at least 10 days after the appearance of the rash.
